I have always loved headbands, specially ribbon headbands. Ribbon headbands are not a new concept, rather, they let y'all to change your headband accessories with ease, and I'm all about that!

Equally luck would take it, my girls beloved their pilus accessories as much as I practice, so this hair craft was perfect!

Ribbon Headbands

A headband can exist simple and I tin appreciate something unproblematic that goes with everything, however, I have always been one for flare and I won't lie, my daughter has followed my footsteps in that department.

But I got this ribbon headband and this flower headband idea from another arts and crafts nosotros did earlier.

We had so many beautiful ribbons that we had to find a way to use them!

Previously, we got started making ribbon flowers and so made…well, a lot of ribbon flowers!

My kids wanted to wear the ribbon flowers in their hair, pinned in their bangs, on top of headbands, equally accessories on their bag straps, etc.

1 flower can not exist in three places!

Unless nosotros created a mix-and-friction match headband system that allows an easy change of the ribbon flowers.

How to Make a Ribbon and Flower Headband

I fully endorse this idea since I am always irresolute my mind.  This volition work for not only my kids, but me!

Supplies Needed for DIY Headband

  • Chunky caput band
  • Roughly 6″ of ribbon – here are some of our favorites
    • Uncomplicated, solid ribbon gear up colors in bluish, greenish, rose, yellow, pink, mustard, light pink, nude, light blue and orange
    • Check out this ribbon set with pattern assortment that has daisies, butterflies, roses and more
    • This fringe fabric chiffon silk-like ribbon makes the coolest fringy ribbon flowers
  • Glue Gun
  • An assortment of accessories and ribbon flowers attached to hair clips
    • Add your own hair clips with these 2 inch snap hair clips
    • Or these ii.four inch no bend hair clips
    • Or these double prong alligator clips

The three stripes of ribbon attached to the headband volition allow for upward to 5 accessories like ribbon flowers to be added!

How to Make Headband System to Alter Out Accessories

  1. Option one side of the head ring. Gum one stop of the ribbon inside the headband.
  2. Wrap the ribbon around the headband. You will want iii "stripes" of ribbon around the headband.
  3.  Glue the other cease into the inside of the caput band.
  4. The head band looks fun and cheery with only the ribbon… but it comes to life with flowers clipped into the "stripes" of the ribbon.
  5. Y'all can unclip flowers and clip new ones in – change the flowers to match your outfits.
Notes:

The 3-stripe headband organization can hold upward to v accessories.  Add some feather backing and button accents!
